A woman was arrested this week for racking up the bill of a debit card she acquired after she stole it during a burglary, police say.

Anne Bambino, 31, of Philadelphia, is accused of stealing a man’s PNC bank card and several other items during a burglary in the afternoon of August 19. Police report that she was caught using the card at several businesses in Lower Makefield and Middletown.

The burglary happened at the Harper Crossing complex off of Big Oak Road, police said. The victim was alerted that his bank card was missing after a call that alerted him of the transactions, which he did not authorize, according to court papers.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Detective Patrick Nicastro outlines over $1,200 in purchases alleged to have been made on the bank card at locations ranging from a Rite Aid in Lower Makefield to the Levittown Giant Food Store in Middletown. The purchases were all made in about an hour and ten minutes on August 19, police said.

Nicastro, according to court papers, used surveillance video to identify Bambino making the purchases.

Bambino has been charged with access device fraud, theft by deception, and two county of receiving stolen property. She was arraigned before District Judge John Kelly on Monday and send to county jail on 10 percent of $5,000 bail.
