
A man accused of forging a check late last month was arrested at gunpoint by Tullytown police.
Stephen Walterick, 20, of Levittown, walked into the Well Fargo on Levittown Parkway on Monday, October 28 and tried to cash a forged check for $75, police said. The check was reported to be from Walternick’s 60-year-old step-grandfather.

The bank called the step-grandfather and learned he did not write any checks to Walternick, according to court records.
An affidavit of probable cause filed against Walternick shows he also successfully deposited a forged check for $50 on Friday, October 25.

Borough officers were called and performed an unsuccessful search for the Walternick, even checking the nearby Walmart, police said.
As officers were at the home of Walternick’s step-grandfather in Bristol Township, they spotted his Jeep driving toward them, police said. Court papers reveal that the 20-year-old was taken into custody at gunpoint.

Three syringes were found in the front of the Jeep, police said.
He admitted to drug use and cashing a forged check, authorities said.
Walternick is charged with forgery, theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Wagner Jr. and remain in county jail on 10 percent of $25,000.
