Security officials at the County Courthouse in Doylestown are investigating who dropped a “drug-related package” outside the East Court Street doors Thursday morning.
Officials from the Bucks County Hazardous Incident Response Team were called to the Bucks County Courthouse on Court Street in Doylestown for a suspicious package shortly after the four inch by four inch bag was found in the area of the fire prevention demonstration house.

According to county spokesman Chris Edwards, security quickly discovered the package did not pose much of a threat and no evacuations were issued.
Security members are expected to review surveillance footage to try to determine who placed the package outside the building, but it is suspected it was a person heading into the building, Edwards said.
Courthouse employees said authorities were spotted outside the entrance looking around following the discovery of the package. Edwards told LevittownNow.com that knifes, brass knuckles and other prohibited items have previously been found stashed by the doors.
