After being warned by Bristol Township police to stay away, a Morrisville man was arrested Tuesday for having sexual intercourse with 13-year-old girl.
The girl’s family contacted police in June to file a complaint about the relationship between their minor child and 18-year-old Colin Sorrentino, who they suspected was having a sexual relations with the girl, court documents say.

According to the probable cause affidavit, authorities obtained a search warrant for cell phone and other electronic devices and more forensic evidence from the victim and Sorrentino. Additionally, police advised Sorrentino of Pennsylvania laws about sexual contact with minors instructing him to cease contact with the victim.
On September 9, Sorrentino went to Bristol Township police headquarters to file a complaint against the victim’s family for harassing him while he sat in his car with the young girl alongside of Mary Devine Elementary School in Croydon, police said. Sorrentino told police, the girl’s family located him and the victim around 10 p.m.

Police, according to court documents, received consent from the victim and her family to search her cell phone. They found “sexually explicit” exchanges between the two discussing specific sex acts, court paperwork shows. Police interviewed the victim, who told them Sorrentino created several social media accounts and used those maintain contact with her even after warnings from authorities to cease and desist.
The victim, according to court records, told police that she had sexual intercourse with Sorentino in the front seat of his car in a Croydon parking lot. Sorrentino, she said, didn’t use a condom while they engaged in the sexual act. Sorrentino who had been instructed by police in June of the statutes involved for having sexual contact with minors, was charged with statutory sexual assault, corruption of a minor and indecent assault of minor.

Sorrentino is charged with statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault. He was sent to Bucks County Jail on 10 percent of $100,000 bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on December 11 in Bristol Borough District Court.
