
A Bensalem mom is accused of leaving her two young children in the car after she was driving drunk and hit two parked cars.
Jamie Lynn Wilkinson, 34, was charged over the weekend with two counts of endangering the welfare of children, reckless endangerment, multiple counts of DUI and related offenses. She was arraigned before on-call District Judge John Waltman and sent to county jail on 10 percent of $500,000.

Wilkinson, while driving drunk, struck two parked vehicle on the 1000 block of Chestnut Street after sunset on Saturday night, police say in court papers. They add that inside her car were her 6-month-old and 18-month-old children.

Wilkinson is alleged to have ditched the car and her kids following the crash and got about two blocks from the scene of the crash before being taken into cuffs, according to court papers.

Neighbors took care of the two babies until police arrived.
Police took both children to their headquarters a few blocks away. Both babies needed a diaper changing because they soaked with urine, police said.

Members of the Bucks County Children and Youth agency were notified and took care of the babies.
Wilkinson, according to a county court docket, had a bench warrant out for her because she did not show up for her October 3 trial on simple assault and related charges. The case is connected to a March incident in Warminster.
