A string of what appear to be arson fires in the Fairless Hills section of Falls Township are being investigated.
The latest fire happened Thursday night when firefighters were called to the area behind the old Pathmark for a rubbish fire at 7:35 p.m.

Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said the blaze appeared to be intentionally lit and was extinguished before it spread to any other objects.
Authorities on scene did not find any witnesses and no surveillance was available, the fire marshal told LevittownNow.com.
Dippolito said he believes at least two other small fires in the Fairless Hills area are connected.

One happened at a vacant store a few down from the Retro Fitness across the street from Pathmark in August. Fire crews arrived to find rubber padding material attached to a concrete loading dock ablaze.
Anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area Thursday night is asked to call fire investigators at 215-949-9000 ex. 250.
