
Falls Township police are holding a gun buy back event this coming Saturday.
The anonymous gun buy back program will be from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Falls Township Municipal Complex located at 188 Lincoln Highway.

The event, which was announced in summer, will allow people to hand in their unwanted guns in exchange for money. There is no limit on how many firearms can be turned in, but officials said there five weapons is the limit to receive payment. Township officials note that no explosives can be turned in.
Here is the breakdown of how much each type of firearm is worth:
- Assault Rifles – up to $200
- Pistols/Handguns – up to $100
- Rifles/Shotguns – up to $50
- Other misc. guns (at the discretion of the program) – up to $20
Police will screen the weapon and deem it to be operational before giving a payment for it.

The township supervisors approved up to $25,000 in summer to be spent on the gun buyback.
