Police: Man Charged with Dealing Marijuana, Pills to Undercover State Police

Beginning in July and ending Tuesday night, James Baxter, 40, of Morrisville, sold of marijuana and pills in Falls and Morrisville to an undercover state police officer.

State police purchased the cache of drugs over the span of four months employing an undercover officer, court records show.

Police say the exchanges took placeย in the parking lot of the Family Dollar in the 300 block of West Trenton Avenue in Falls, where they purchased a quarter pound of marijuana for $350 on July 31, a quarter pound of marijuana on Aug. 6 for $375; a pound of marijuana and 10 Percocet pills for $1,480 on Aug. 21.

The Pennsylvania crime lab confirmed the drugs were marijuana and Percocet.

State authorities then organized one last buy on Tuesday night forย 2 pounds of marijuana for $1,300 in Morrisville, police records say.

State police obtained a search warrant for Baxter’s Morrisville home and found 2 more pounds ofย ย marijuana, ย a handgun, a digital scale, an unspecified amount of ย U.S. currency and other drug paraphernalia.

Baxter was arraigned ย around 8:25 p.mย Tuesday before Bristol District Judge Frank Peranteau Sr. on six counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent, illegal possession of a firearm and related charges. He was sent to Bucks County prison in lieu of 10 percent of $100,000 bail.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on October 23. According to the Courier Times, ย Baxter has two felony criminal convictions in New Jersey that would bar him from possessing a firearm.
