Several local fire companies are hosting fire prevention events over the next couple of days.
Bristol Township’s Edgely Fire Company will host a wing-eating competition Friday morning followed by a large fire prevention expo with demonstrations, K-9 units, firefighter competitions, live music, vendors and much more. The large evening fire prevention event starts at at 6:30 p.m. at the fire house located at 1200 Edgely Avenue. Donations for a local burn center will also be collected.

The Falls Township Fire company in Fallsington will host their fire prevention event Saturday starting at 10 a.m. and running until 1:30 p.m.
Levittown Fire Company No. 2 will be hosting their fire prevention festivities Saturday starting at 1 p.m. at the station on County Way in Bristol Township. Fire truck rides, demonstrations, tasty treats and more will be available for the public.
Free refreshments, fire truck rides, apparatus displays, raffles, auto extrication demonstrations and much more will be part of Bristol Township’s Newportville Fire Company’s fire prevention event, which run Saturday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the station at 2425 New Falls Road. Shirts to raise money for breast cancer research will also be sold.

Sunday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Levittown Fire Comapny No. 1 will be hosting their fire prevention expo at their station on Falls-Tullytown Road in Falls.
