Last month, Perry challenged high school students to remake her “Roar” music video. The winning school will receive a free concert from Perry.
Philadelphia Top 40 radio station Q102 is running an unofficial poll of the videos from several schools in the region; Truman is winning with 41 percent of the vote, as of Thursday evening.
The winning school will be announced in the coming weeks. The concert will be performed on October 25, which is Perry’s birthday.

Here’s the description entered on YouTube below Truman’s submission:
Harry S Truman High School is located in Levittown, PA and we created this video for the Good Morning America contest for Katy Perry’s ROAR video. Our school sometimes has an unfair reputation that creates an unrealistic impression of the students. In reality, we are a diligent, resourceful, and diverse family. We show our pride and shatter the negative stereotypes in our ROAR video. You will see we are incredibly diverse in not only race, but gender, sexuality and special needs. Everyone is completely equal, as we show when all 1600 students spell out the word ROAR on our football field. This is our home and we can’t wait to spread our tiger fever and make everyone hear us ROAR!
