Bristol Family Affair is ‘Continued’

An uncle allegedly attacked by his two nephews and niece on July 31 failed to show for a preliminary hearing Wednesday at Bristol Borough District Court forcing the hearing to be rescheduledย until November 13.

Christopher Davane, 19, of Bensalem; Alan Devane, 22, of Bensalem and Janine Davane, 18, of Bristol, ย are charged with simple and aggravated assault stemming from an incident in which all three attacked their uncle, in defense of their mother ย court records say. This past July at her Bristol Borough home on the 400 block of Cedar Street.

The oldest sibling told police at the time the onslaught of violence directed at their uncle was in response to an alleged, but unreported attack by the uncle on their mother on July 4.

District Court Judge Frank W. Perenteau Sr continued the case at the request of the Bucks County District Attorney’s office in light of the no show by the victim of the attack.

Peranteau has a one time only policy, for the both sides, ย of continuing matters on the day a case is scheduled to be heard.

All three of alleged attackers were present for the hearing with ย legal representation and are out on bail.
