
According to a PennDOT press release, the public is invited to register for the first-ever online civicย meeting to be held ย Thursday, Sept. 26, as part of the update to the commonwealth’s 12-Year Transportation Program.
Those interested in participating in the webcast, which will be held from 6ย ย p.m. to 7 p.m., can register at www.TalkPATransportation.com.

During the webcast, PennDOT Secretary and State Transportation Commissionย (STC)ย Chairman Barry J. Schoch will provide an update on state transportation issuesย and answer questions from registered participants. Questions may beย submittedย in advance to ra-penndotstc@pa.gov.
In addition to participating in the webcast, the public can provide theirย inputย on transportation priorities through Oct. 7 at their convenience:

The 12-Year Transportation Program, which serves as a blueprint ofย prioritizedย transportation projects, is updated every two years through a cooperativeย effort among the STC, PennDOT and its 23 regional planning partners.ย ย The STC evaluates and assesses the resources needed to maintain and expandย theย state’s transportation system. The 15-member commission includes Schoch, 10ย private citizens appointed by the governor, and the majority and minorityย chairs of the state Senate and House Transportation Committees.
