An 11-year-old boy is lucky to have non-life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a car along Trenton Road in Falls Township.
The boy was struck by a woman driving a Mitsubishi Outlander just outside the Oxford Valley Elementay school zone, police said. Authorities were not clear whether the boy, a Falls resident, was a student at the Pennsbury school.

Lt. Todd Pletnick said the boy had just exited a bus infront the school and was just outside the school zone when he went between two parked cars and crossed Trenton Road. While crossing, Pletnick said the driver saw the boy and attempted to avoid him, but it was too late.
As of 3:40 p.m., police and emergency medics were out with the boy, who may have suffered a fracture.
Investigating officers determined the woman driving the SUV was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Witness statements indicated the woman was driving at the posted speed, police said.
