Editor’s Note: Just because police told LevittownNow.com the report was “unfounded” does not mean the incident was made up or did not happen. It means police were not able to confirm the report and witnessed no activity in the area or reason for alarm.

The social media reports of a large number of people wearing capes and hoods gathered in Levittown were unfounded, police said.

Below is one such account of the incident that appeared on social media:

Bringing this to Bristol Township (Birch Valley and Elderberry) residents. My 17yr old son and his friend were walking by the Park in Elderberry and where chased and followed by 3 people wearing masks. My son and his friend turned around and came to my home and my oldest took drove the friend home in Elderberry. What made this a bazaar incident is that there is a group of people at the park now, wearing black capes with hoods like they are having some sort of clan meeting. My son said that one of them had a German shepherd dog at the time he was down there. I had my son call and make a police report but my curiosity got to me and I drove down there also and I could not believe my eyes seeing these people in the back robes with hoods. We did not see this dog however. Something is definitely not right here. While down there a couple police cars showed up and I slowed to talk to an officer and he said he was not there for that incident but the others were. So please keep your kids in the house as there is definitely something going on out there.
