Police Investigating Reports of Abduction Attempt

As of 10 a.m. Friday morning, Bristol Township police were still investigating the “suspicious person” report they took Thursday afternoon, Lt. Guy Sava said.

He told LevittownNow.com that police officers were trying to confirm all the details offered by the victim and witnesses. Sava said he would have more information by late morning.

A 12-year-old boy was walking home from baseball at around 4:30 p.m. when a man in a gray car approached and tried to abduct him in Levittown’s Appletree section, according to family of the boy.

“A good Samaritan punched the would-be abductor,” the father of the 12-year-old boy said. The boy was able to run away.

Sava said officers are working to locate the “good Samaritan.”

The story has spread like wildfire on social media. Sava said police were trying to confirm the many versions stories that have appeared on the internet since Thursday afternoon.
