In an effort to make it easier for parents to connect with the Transportation Department, the Bristol Township School District has opened a direct line for transpiration issues.
The number – 215-949-8903 – was announced on Friday on the school district’s website.

Superintendent Dr. Samuel Lee said the hotline was opened to make it easier for parents when they called. Before, parents usually had to go through a district operator to reach the transportation department.
“We still have challenges,” Lee said, adding, “We have a new service provider and new bus drivers.”
Public comment at Monday’s school board meeting did not feature any negative words about the new bus provider, which is a stark contrast from last year.

“Due to the high volume of calls, you may not get a personal answer. Please leave a message, with your phone number and be explicit about your difficulties,” a statement from the district said.
Lee did praise the new transportation director and said they are “very responsive” to parent’s concerns.
