Two people complained of neck and back pain following a two-vehicle accident on Maple Avenue (Route 213) at Periwinkle Avenue in Middletown on Monday morning, according to authorities.
Fire crews from the Lower Southampton and Parkland companies were called to pop the door of one of the cars involved in the wreck, police said.

None of the injuries sustained were life-threatening, police said.
The car turning out of Periwinkle Avenue, which sits on an incline, made a left on to Maple Avenue and did not see the striking vehicle as it headed east on the roadway, police said. The car attempting to make a left was struck on the driver’s side door.
The accident was reported shortly at 9:30 a.m. Maple Avenue was reopened a short time after the accident.
