Its been more than 200 days since the last meaningful NFL Sunday. And today fans throughout the area and country will spend the afternoon – and in some cases evening too watching all the football they can

Eagles fans will have to wait til tomorrow night at  7 p.m. as the Birds will make their Monday Night Football debut with new coach Chip Kelly at the helm  as they take on divisional rival Washington.

On Thursday I was laughed at taking the Broncos -10. Peyton revved up in the second half and the Bronco’s made the Ravens and what’s left of their Super Bowl defense disappear into the thin air of the mile high city.

From this Sunday forward until Super Bowl Sunday weekly picks will be published  given prior to game time!

For now lets just say its a friendly competition to see which LevittownNow readers really know football!

Giants + 3 1/2 Have yet to lose at the “House, Jerry built,” getting 3 1/2 in what is always a close game is a must pick.

Saints+ 3 Shootout alert! Sean Payton comes back as head coach for his first game since suspension ended. Breeze to have one of those games at home –

Jacksonville + 4 1/2 a game everyone has talked about on the major sports shows. Some have the Chiefs getting to the playoffs. I sure don’t. I’ll take the Jags and the points in this one
