An FBI official confirmed just after 4 p.m. that the suspect was taken into custody.
Bensalem police said the apprehension was made in Morrisville.
The apprehension came after local police from around the lower end of the county spent hours search for the man, who was reported to have been released from jail on Wednesday.

Police across Lower Bucks County are searching for a man suspected of robbing multiple banks on Thursday.
Here’s a timeline of the afternoon’s events, based upon information from scanner reports and authorities:
- Shortly after noon: Sovereign Bank on Street Road, Bensalem. It is unconfirmed whether the suspect made off with any money. At least one police dog was called in to search for the suspect, reported to have fled on foot.
- Just before 1 p.m.: Sovereign Bank, 95 South Main Street, Yardley. The bank was reported robbed and the suspect fled on foot.
- Around 2 p.m.: Wells Fargo, 3 East Bridge Street, Morrisville: The bank was robbed. A LevittownNow.com reader reports police from three different towns and state troopers at the bank.
FBI spokesperson Carrie Adamowski said authorities believe all three robberies are connected and that the suspect just was released from jail.

The suspect, according to police radio traffic, is a white male who used demand notes in at least two of the robberies.
Unconfirmed Scanner reports indicate that the suspect may have used a taxi to get from between the banks.

The robbery spree comes days after two bank robberies in Bensalem.
Homeless man Frank D. Hicks, 35, is accused of robbing the TD Bank on Street Road on Tuesday. He ran and was later arrested by police. He was released from prison after serving time for 6 bank robberies in Philadelphia.

Joseph Coraluzzi, 32, of Philadelphia, and Deana Paulik, 24, of Cherry Hill, N.J., were caught Wednesday by police on charges they robbed the Fulton Bank branch on Street Road also on Tuesday. Coraluzzi was captured in New Jersey and is awaiting extradition to Bensalem.
