There were rumors that the helicopter was connected to police activity and even protection of Vice President Joe Biden. Both were false, multiple sources confirmed Saturday evening. Biden and President Obama were in Scranton on Friday, but left the area in their respective military aircraft, according to news accounts.
Throughout the area, PECO helicopters survey approximately 2,700 miles of power lines, according to officials from the utility.
“They look for any problems that are not be visible from the ground,” a spokesman told LevittownNow.com previously.
