Christine Ruths said late Wednesday night that the dog has been reunited with its owner.

Christine Ruths and a “few nice” people were able to save a small, wandering Maltese Tuesday as it walked into traffic at Tyburn and New Falls roads in Falls Township.

“We were able to keep her from being hit. I took her to the Falls Township Police Station where someone who works there offered to take care of her until the animal control person comes back from vacation and can scan her for a chip,” Ruths said.
The small dog had a collar but no tags, Ruths said.
