A two-alarm fire in large one-story carpet factory in Pendel Wednesday night brought out multiple fire companies at approximately 7:30 p.m.
White smoke billowed from the roof of the Langhorne Carpet Company at 201 East Lincoln Highway as first responders worked to gain control of the scene.

The fire was placed under control at around 9 p.m.
Scanner reports of a mechanical issue as the cause for the smoky conditions have not been confirmed.

East Lincoln Highway was closed near the scene of the fire.
