Penndel Fire Chief Chuck Fox told LevittownNow.com that the fire was mainly contained to aย  piece of machinery in the factory.

Original Story:

A two-alarm fireย in large one-story carpet factory in Pendel Wednesday ย night brought out ย multiple fire companies at approximately 7:30 p.m.

White smoke billowed from the roof of the Langhorne Carpet Company at 201 East Lincoln Highway as first responders worked to gain control of the scene.

The fire was placed under control at around 9 p.m.

Scanner reports of a mechanical issue ย as the cause for the smoky conditions have not been confirmed.

No injuries reported on the scene.

East Lincoln Highway was closed near the scene of the fire.

Neighbors flooded the area to watch firefighters at work.
