
Police confirm that the man driving a gold car that crashed outside the Wendy’s in the Langhorne Square Shopping Center in Middletown Township Thursday afternoon died after the crash.
Robert LaMaina, 84, of Philadelphia, was traveling westbound on East Lincoln Highway and crossed the roadway, striking a utility pole, police said.

A written statement from police stated that LaMaina suffered a medical condition before the crash and did not survive.
According to witnesses Maria Matrin and Drew Sroka, an employee at a nearby gym performed CPR on the crash victim in an attempt to save his life.
A utility pole at the scene of the crash was leaning following the wreck, which was reported at 12:48 p.m. Ruts and damage to shrubs was visible to the grass and scrubs at the scene.
