Police arrived on the scene and spoke with the assault victim, who told authorities his brother, Laszlo Czikora III, 32, of Levittown, was agitated because their ย parents had put the family home up for sale. Czikora’s brother said he became combative with the 32-year-old by blocking him from entering his apartment over the garage, police said.

The brother told police that his sibling choked him and repeatedly punched him in the head and face causing bruising and abrasions to form, court documents state.

The defendant, authorities said, had visible markings on his right hand consistent with offensive lacerations from punching someone.

Czikora was placed into the custody of Middletown authorities and transported for arraignment by District Court Judge John J. Kelly Jr. on a charge of simple assault. He was released on secured bond of $4,000. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in front of District Court Judge Daniel Barnowski on August 14, according to online court documents.
