A newer Ford Explorer was found abandoned and teetering on the edge of the Delaware Canal in Falls Township Wednesday morning, police said.
Falls Lt. Todd Pletnick said his officers discovered the SUV and traced it back to a Morrisville Borough man.

The vehicle was recovered from the canal in the area behind Tappy’s Tavern off Old Bristol Pike.
The owner of the SUV said he left his keys in the car and his windows down overnight, police said. They added that the car had insurance but was not registered.
As of Wednesday afternoon, no arrests have been made in the case, which is being handled by Morrisville.
