Power outages in both Falls Middletown and Penndel caused several problems on Tuesday.

Aside from knocking out lights to over 150 homes and businesses, the outages have delayed production of the Bucks County Courier Times newspaper.

No word yet from authorities when power may be restored.

The power outage came as strong storms were rolling throughout the area, however, it is unclear whether they played a role in the blackout.

On a Facebook posting, the newspaper says a power outage caused production delays and means some customers will not get a crisp copy of the print edition until mid-morning.

This is the second time in July that Courier Times has been delayed by power problems.

“Technical difficulties” delayed delivery of the newspaper in late April.
