Bristol Township police were called to Magnolia Drive minutes after midnight last Friday and saw Singh hunched over on the sidewalk, according to an affidavit of probable cause. When he turned around, his shirt was torn and he had a “red mark” on his neck, police said.

Singh’s son said his father accused him of doing drugs and they began arguing in the backyard of the Magnolia Drive home, according to court papers.

At some point in the fight, Singh grabbed the machete and yelled to his son that he was going to “chop his head off,” police said, adding that the son then told him Singh choked him twice.

Police said they discovered a silver smoking pipe with some suspected marijuana on Singh. He admitted to smoking marijuana, according to court papers.
