Saturday night at Currans in Bensalem local rock/soul artist Heather Heather took to the stage and as usual put on a show as she and “Uncle” Jeff Zambino only can.
Heather’s ย perfect pitch performance during the first set of the three set show at the mood laden bar in Bensalem is not something you find on the local artist scene consistently. ย Add the soaring vocal styling’s to Zambino’s powerful ย electrified acoustical attack and you begin to understand why Heather Heather is ย serious contender to be gobbled up someday by a label.

From a burning version of Alanis Morrisette’s “You Oughta Know” to their own “Sweet, Sweet Summertime” and all in between, ย the audience was in harmony with the rock acoustical duo.
The songstress’ ย self-deprecating approach and lack of ego, connects her to the audience she ย making ย Heather Heather a must see.
On a more serious note, Heather Heather will be donating their rocking melodious ย talents tonight ย as part of a fundraiser for the Sidewalks for New Falls Road effort at Dairy Delite in Levittown.

Heather said it was important for her to play the event because “she was close to” John J. Rearick the victim of a fatal hit-and run on New Falls Rd. last July.
When I was in high school I worked as a counselor at a local day camp ย and was ย JJ’s ย counselor, she said.

“This means a lot to Uncle Jeff and I and this is the best way we can help the Rearick family and the sidewalks effort, said the vocalist
Rearick, ย succumbed to his injuries days later.

“JJ used to come by and visit me at work, he was a great guy. And if Jeff and I can help the Rearick’s in any way, we’re there no questions asked,” the songstress said.
Dave Scott, owner of the popular Dairy Delite said last night he’s known the family for a long time and recognizes New Falls Road has always been a dangerous place for pedestrians.

“We fully support the Rearick’s and Sidewalks in their effort. Plus Heather mentored John when he was younger” so its natural for us to want to support the idea, he said.
