DUI charges are pending against a 57-year-old Levittown man involved in a one-vehicle accident.
John Kubis Jr. was behind the wheel of a car when it’s right axle snapped off on Newtown-Yardley Road in Newtown Townsihp Friday at around 6:25 p.m., police said.

The 57-year-old walked across the street to a bank after the accident and an officer determined he appear drunk when he went to talk to him, police said. Kubis said he was driving when the vehicle just stopped, according to police.
Kubis was transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown Township to get blood taken for testing.
