NWS Excessive Heat Warning Area
NWS Excessive Heat Warning Area until  Thursday at 8 p.m.

If it wasn’t hot enough for you… get ready cause a heat wave of melting proportions is on its way as the National Weather Service (NWS)  issued an excessive heat warning  to burn the area up starting Monday afternoon and lasting until  Thursday at 8 p.m.

NWS says maximum temperatures  are expected to be in the low to mid 90’s with the heat index peaking at a sweltering 100.

Evening’s will bring little relief NWS says with temps  topping  out into the 70’s

The public is encouraged to avoid prolonged periods of exposure to the  heat and humidity because it can create dangerous health issues especially for children seniors, and pets.

NWS  reminds everyone to stay hydrated, drink plenty of fluids,  and do not leave children and pets locked in vehicles.
