Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito told LevittownNow exclusively the fire at 41 Jonquil street in currently under investigation and that township detectives are now involved.

Dipolito wouldn’t say why there is police involvement at this time, however, ย a number of neighborhood sources are pointing to the “ugly” divorce proceedings between the couple that formerly lived in the home Jessica Degarmo-Coons and Jim Coons.
The fire marshal did confirm, however, ย reports the family pet, a pit bull dog died in the fire.
A source on the scene said Coons buried the dog in the house.

Two independent neighborhood sources said they saw the former couple, individually at the Junewood section home yesterday, not to long before the fire erupted.
There were no other injuries reported and according to one source the house for the most part has been empty except for some of ย Degarmo andย Degarmo-Coons’ belongings.

Fire crews responded to a two ย story blaze at 41 Jonquil Drive, in the Bristol Township section of Levittown ย according to scanner ย reports at 9:30 p.m.
Edgly, Bristol and Newportville Fire companies are on scene reports indicate.

Emergency personnel still on scene and fire was put out by 9:33 p.m.

Reports from onlookers at the scene say the jubilee home has been empty for the last two months.
