This past Friday a team of Kanga employees, arrived at ย Thomas J. Stednick home on the ย 3600 Block of Rockview Drive in Bristol Township and supported the former Naval Petty Officer by constructing ย two new roofs-one for Stednick’s home, and the other for his garage.

Stednick, who served in the United States Navy from 1978 till 1984, bought his current home with the support of a United States Veterans Administration Mortgage, was thrilled to have been awarded the free work as Kanga personnel swarmed his property ย Friday morning.

“Abe Brooks is a great man, he said, “for everything he does for the community and those who are in need, he’s there for you. He’s simply a great humanitarian,” Stednick said.

Brooks son, Albert Jr, while supervising a crew of approximately 12 at the site said, “this is our way of re-paying those who gave so much for us. Kanga roofing is dedicated to doing all it can for Veterans. This isn’t a job, this is our way of paying Veterans back in the best we know how,” by giving them cover after years of dedicated service providing it to Americans.”

In early May, Kanga announced the “Support a Veteran” program to the public through public notices and announcements at borough and township meetings throughout the area.

Stednick, told of the give away applied ย with the support of ย VFW ย Post No 1597 located in Croydon, in recognition of Stednick’s service to the community, pointing out on the application the hundreds of hours he’s given to the community in support of ย the needy, disabled, and underprivileged living in the area.

As darkened clouds hovered, Stednick asked Brooks Jr, for an update on estimated time of completion for the roof installation, was told they “since we have that rain coming we’re going to work through so we can ย get it completed before the storms set in.

“Great, I’ll start-up the barbecue, Stednick said, lunch is on me guys!”

And so it goes. The spirit of paying it forward for ย a ย man dedicated to his country.
