The improvement and reconstruction project along Tyburn Road in Falls Township continues.
The road project is part of PennDOT’s $14.9 million mission to rehabilitate the structurally-deficient Tyburn Road Bridge over the Amtrak rail lines.

A portion of the roadway is down to one lane in each direction with a closure and detour going into place at New Ford Road.
PennDOT spent just over $12 million in recent years to repair the Newbold Road, Old Tybburn Road, Warner Company Road, Conrail and Pennsylvania Avenue.
HRI Inc. of State College, Pa. is the general contractor on the project, which is expected to be done in October 2014.
