Langhorne resident Tom Luther has a “weak spot” for two things: those who serve in the armed forces and children.
He combined the two on Saturday at the Children of Fallen Heroes benefit at Terchon VFW Post in Bristol Township.

Luther said the event raised funds that benefit the Bucks County-based Travis Travis Manion Foundation, which helps children and families of fallen soldiers.
A crowd of attendees listened to the sounds of several local bands who played for free or a reduced fee. The audience enjoyed music from the LRB Band, Spare Parts and headlining act AJ Slick.
“People told me: ‘Hey Luther, this isn’t going to happen.’ It is now,” he said with a chuckle.

Luther said he plans to hold a similar event next year.
