That hurricane, starts off with a blues storm you don’t want to miss, said Hurricane Jack’s DJ and organizer of its First Annual Blues Festival, Brian Potts.

Potts who’s been dying to doย an outย door festival said back in January he ย went toย Hurricane Jack’sย management and presented the idea of ย setting up the all day blues festival. Once he got the go ahead, he’s been working day and night to get bands, approval from the liquor board, and cooperation from neighboring businesses’, to make the show and all that comes with it, a blues sensation
For ย a $5.00 cover charge Saturday, you’ll have the opportunity to rock with the best of them, as Hurricane Jack presents its First Annual Blues Fest ย from 12 p.m to 8 p.m.
The all day outdoor event is the culmination of an effort to insure the american institution of blues remains alive and healthy in the area.

The fest kicks of at 12 p.m. with Mikey Jr. ย hosting and bands taking the stage starting around 1:30 or so, Potts said.ย The line up includes ย Blue Reign, Heart Fulla Bluz, Sister Blue, Whiskey Dick and Mikey Jr .
Admission is $5.00, lawn chairs, a thirst for local blues, and a storm of ย energy are strongly encouraged if you plan to attend.ย Its going to be a hurricane of blues, and as far as Potts and Diva are concerned, that’s all one needs.
