A tragic “accident” involving a 60-year old man’s being hit by two vehicles on Lincoln Highway late Thursday night continues according to a press release from the Bucks County District Attorney’s office.
Preliminary investigation, says the release, by the Bensalem Accident Investigations Unit found that the man was attempting to cross the busy highway when he “stepped into the south bound lane and was struck by twoย separate” vehicles,ย authorities say.

The pedestrian died on the scene and owners of each vehicle remained on scene and are cooperating with the police investigation, the release says.
Authorities say drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the accident and the investigation continues and anyone with information are asked to Bensalem Police at 215- 633-3719 and ask for Detective Vandegrift or Officer Errigo.
The south bound lanes were shut down for several hours and traffic was detoured onto Street Road.
