Middletown Township police said in a Facebook posting that there were two more sightings of the approximately 400-pound black bear first spotted earlier this week.
Police said the bear was spotted Thursday night in the area Midway Avenue and Zimmerman Lane.

“We are currently working to get assistance from the state Game Commission. If you see the bear do not approach it. Call the police at 215-949-1000,” according to the post.
Cheryl Trewella, who is the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s information and education supervisor for the southeast region, said on Thursday that the bear was also spotted in Bristol and Hulmeville over the past few days.
The bear – believed to be a male – is suspected of coming down from Upper Bucks County and is likely just circling through the area, Trewella said.

The commission’s area office said they have been tracking the bear through phone calls.
Trewella said residents should not try to approach or feed the bear. She also said local residents should not put out their household trash until the day it is to be collected and they should check outside at night before letting their pets outside alone.
