Body Pulled From River in Bristol Township

Officials have a lead in the identity of the man found dead on the Delaware River in Bristol Township yesterday afternoon, police said Sunday afternoon.

An autopsy is planned for Monday.

The body of a man was discovered in the Delaware River in Bristol Township Saturday afternoon.

According to the Bucks County Courier Times, the body was discovered in the river behind the Dow Chemical site at around 4 p.m.

Emergency crews from Croydon Fire Company and several other local emergency agencies worked to remove the body from the river, a firefighter told LevittownNow.com.

The man’s death was not appear suspicious, the paper reported.
