
UPDATED STORY: Bristol Borough Teachers Get New Deal Amid Cries for Transparency
The Bristol Borough School Board passed a new teachers contract 6-3 Thursday night.

The contract was met with resistance from residents after the Bristol Borough Education Association and the school district agreed not to release any details to the public until the contract is approved. Some residents called the contract “secret.”
Board Member Charles Groff told LevittownNow.com this week he had little time to examine the actual contract, which will last for five years.
At times, the public comment section of the meeting Thursday night was tense as taxpayers spoke out against the new deal.
