Two Hurt in Monday Police Chase

A police chase that started in Bristol Township ended when the car crashed and burned in Bensalem.

Korrie Dayanar Santiago, 21, of Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with theft, receiving stolen property, driving without a license, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and various traffic offenses, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The chase started when troopers tried to stop Santiago Route 413 and Ford Road in Bristol Township at 1:39 p.m. on Monday, according to a press release.

Troopers chased the stolen car the woman was driving into Bensalem and onto Street Road, police said.

The stolen car, officials said, struck another vehicle in the area of the I-95 ramp and caught fire. Troopers rushed in to extinguish the flames.

According to police, Santiago and a passenger were taken to the hospital for unknown injuries. Authorities added that the driver of the vehicle Santiago struck was treated for minor injuries.
