A Falls Township man is accused of stabbing his mom’s chair with a steak knife and “wildly” waving his middle finger in her face after a fight over use of the kitchen sink.
Justin Stone, 20, of the 100 block of Trenton Road, is charged with possessing an instrument of crime with intent, simple assault and harassment after an alleged argument in the Aspen Falls Apartment he shares with his mother.

Police responded to the apartment complex Tuesday at 11:27 p.m. to investigate a reported domestic disturbance.
Stone’s mother said her son began yelling and questioning her after she asked him for access to the kitchen sink, police said.
“Despite the mundane nature of the dialogue, Justin became enraged and began yelling and questioning [his mother] as to the meaning behind her request,” a police criminal complaint states.

Stone’s mother “retreated” to the living room and sat on the couch to reason with her son. At some point, she decided trying to reason with her son with useless, police said.
After getting advice from her daughter on the phone, the woman called 911 and requested police to her apartment.

Once the 20-year-old learned his mother had called authorities, he lost it, police said.
“…He charged from the kitchen into the living room and took possession of a black-handled kitchen knife which was on the living room coffee table,” police wrote. Authorities added that Stone then “stalked about the apartment with the knife.”
Like a scene from a horror movie, police say Stone raised the kitchen knife above his head. “In a violent downward thrust” he brought in into a living room chair, the complaint states. The impact was enough to cause the blade to separate from the handle.

Just before police arrived, Stone’s mother claims her son ran up to her and “began to wildly wave his raised middle finger in her face.” At that point, police say, the woman feared that she was about to become the victim of an assault.
According to court documents, Stone has a history of a violent temper caused by minor disputes. His mother told police he has thrown and overturned furniture in the past.

Stone remains in county jail in Doylestown in lieu of 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
