The website is filled with useful construction updates, maps, project facts and more information that local motorist will find vital during the next two and half years.

“This is a big project that affects drivers,” TMA Bucks Deputy Director Steve Noll said. “Safer13.com is good way to keep up with the work.”

The site is run by TMA Bucks, a nonprofit transportation agency. TMA Bucks was contracted by PennDOT to maintain the website and provide residents with updates during the road revitalization project, Noll said.

“This website will benefit residents, motorists and businesses along the Route 13 corridor, allowing them to obtain real-time information on construction-zone work 24/7,” TMA Bucks Executive Director Bill Rickett said in a statement.

“Safer13.com is the site for citizens to obtain information about the Route 13 improvement plan and the construction taking place along the corridor,” PennDOT District Executive Lester C. Toaso said.

While Safer13.com is the first site of its type in Lower Bucks County, PennDOT has had similar website in place for large projects, Noll said. He cited US202.com as an example. The site is managed by the Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association and provided vital information during the larger Route 202 project in Bucks and Montgomery counties.

TMA Bucks also provides helpful traffic and travel information via social media platforms Facebook and Twitter.
