Woman Charged With Insurance Fraud Responds

Amy Campanara was charged with insurance fraud certainly. Here is her response to LevittownNow.com on the case:

Now no where in this article does it say that the insurance company was notified as soon as i found out that my sons story was not the truth which was only 1.week later at which point was in continuous contact trying to meet with the investigator and the time lapse was cause of nothing more then schedule conflict. Secondly after the meeting was established and the correct papers were signed that my attorney advised us to go to police station and see what could be done to make it right. My son went with his father and was told by Bristol township police that they didn’t want to hear his story! That it did not matter if he was admitting to what he did that they could not prove his story to be true! They advised him that i needed to also come in to turn myself in, so we tried and were in the police station not once, not twice but three times and were told the same thing each time that they couldn’t take my statement and i couldn’t turn myself in because they one didn’t have any paperwork on it and you can’t turn yourself in without a warrant in the computer and i would have to come in not during the day but when just the officer who wrote the original report was on duty!!! So i advised my attorney of all these actions and brought witnesses with me just in case something was to come from this, obviously it had! My attorney called Bristol township police department again and again they said they did nothave any warrant for my arrest listed….until the day prior to your article when at night while that officer was on duty at 8pm had come to my house to bring me in with the warrant in his hand. Now to my understanding and my attorney knowledge that i retracted my statement to insurance company signed off on closing the claim, insurance company was advised that we fixed all damages out of pocket and no money was to be paid out, they said they are contacted and obligated to pay for damages as said to in contract of insurance which has been the insurance company used since 2001. With no prior claims made that insurance company was responsible for, and there monthly payment has never been late not policy ever in default. Not that any of that matters, however they did send a check for the damages noted by their own field adjuster and it still in original form and i was instructed by investigator to send back to corporate office not local. After speaking with corporate office, they stated as mentioned above that they will only reissue the check because they are contacted to reimburse for damages received on insured property. Still check not cashed, and no medical expenses paid out by insurance company, claim closed with sign off about entire incident, how is someone charged with insurance fraud? And how does anyone make public with any type of article based on half the information and the other half completely incorrect? Last i checked i believe that is deformation of character!? So like they say believe nothing of what you read and only half of what you see??? I am going to follow threw in its entirety of how this “story” plays out, it is definitely going to be interesting.
