
A smoke detector alerted a Middletown resident that her kitchen was ablaze Tuesday morning, the fire marshal said.
The fire happened at a home in the 400 block of Country Lane Circle at around 8:45 a.m., Fire Marshal Jim McGuire said. No injuries were reported.

Investigators ruled the blaze, which left the home uninhabitable, accidental, McGuire said.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the house and quickly went into action to quelch the flames, the fire marshal told LevittownNow.com.
Along with the fire marshal’s office, crews from Langhorne, Middletown, Newtown, Penndel and Yardley responded to the scene.
