The Pennsylvania State Police, medics, and firefighters were dispatched to the I-95 bridge at Newportville Road in Bristol Township at approximately 5:25 p.m. for a report of a car that flew off the span.

Witnesses reported the car was traveling southbound on I-95 when it drove off the bridge. The vehicle landed on the ground below and came to a rest against trees on an embankment, just feet from the water, according to Newportville Fire Company Chief John Doster.
Firefighters used a ladder to reach the wreckage of the car.

Despite the fall, the woman, who was the sole occupant of the car, was able to walk up the embankment under her own power, Doster said.
The woman was evaluated at the scene by ambulance crews before being transported by the Bucks County Rescue Squad to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia, the chief said.
