Bristol Township police are investigating after a body was found behind a residential neighborhood.

On Tuesday, Bristol Township police responded to the 40 block of Ruby Lane in the Levittown section.
In a tent in a homeless encampment about 600 yards from homes on Ruby Lane, a body was located, police Lt. C.J. Winik said.
“The decedent has not been positively identified at this time due to the condition of the body,” Winik said.

The cause of death and the identity of the body remained under investigation as of Wednesday.
The Bucks County Coroner’s Office was working with Bristol Township police.
