A plume of black smoke was visible around the area Wednesday morning.

The smoke emanated from the cab of a tractor-trailer that burst into flames on southbound I-95 (formally the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Delaware River bridge) in the area of the Route 13 ramp in Bristol Township.
The cab caught fire and was fully engulfed in flames around 10:30 a.m.
Edgely Fire Company Chief Brian Cirard said crews arrived to find the cab well-involved.

Firefighters got to work and fought the flames, bringing down the fire before it could spread to the paper product-filled trailer.
Cirard said it was good news the fire was put out before it spread to the paper products.
