A former Middletown Township police officer is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to a single count of possessing child pornography.
Brian Craig Reeves, 54, of Middletown Township, made the plea Wednesday afternoon before Bucks County Judge Brian McGuffin. No date for sentencing has been set.

Last summer, Reeves was charged after an investigation by Bucks County Detectives that uncovered alleged images of children “engaged in sexually provocative positions.”
The investigation included Bucks County Detectives executing a search warrant on Reeves’ home, vehicle, and electronic devices.
Reeves, a veteran patrolman and K-9 officer, was put on suspension from the police department without pay following his arrest. He resigned from the police department shortly after.

Bill Goldman, the attorney representing Reeves, said there was no suggestion in the case that his client shared child porn or created it.
“He has led an exemplary life and served his community well,” Goldman said.

A court docket said Reeves is free on unsecured bail awaiting sentencing.
