Members of the U.S. Marshals Service pulled a car stop on a vehicle occupied by Isaiah Matthew Wheeler, 25, of Bristol Township, at the gas station at the corner of Mill Creek Road and Green Lane around 11:15 a.m.

Wheeler allegedly backed his vehicle up to flee and struck an unmarked vehicle driven by a member of law enforcement, Supervisor Deputy U.S Marshal Rob Clark said.

The federal marshal said that a gun was found within arms length of Wheeler in the car when he was taken into custody.

Wheeler was wanted on Bucks County bench warrants, according to Clark.

There were no reported injuries, but Wheeler was taken to a nearby hospital as a precautionary measure.

The Bucks County District Office said the incident remains under investigation and they could not comment on whether Wheeler could be charged with hitting the police vehicle.

Clark said the federal agency often works with local and state law enforcement when they are able to assist in apprehensions.
