Chick-fil-A is planning a second location with a drive-thru in Middletown Township, according to documents reviewed by LevittownNow.com.
The fast food chain known for polite staff and chicken sandwiches has submitted plans to Middletown Township and county planners for a new roughly 5,000-square-foot eatery with a drive-thru, 104 indoor seats, and outdoor seating in what is now the parking lot between the Starbucks and Inspire Federal Credit Union and in front of Floor and Decor at 1501 East Lincoln Highway.

The shopping center has been seeking a business to fill the lot in the parking lot facing busy East Lincoln Highway for several years.
The Chick-fil-A plan calls for reworking the parking lot, adding a drive-thru lane, and creation of an area for a dumpster.
The plans are still going through the land development phase and have not yet come before the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors.

Chick-fil-A already operates a location with a drive-thru about 1.5 miles away at Lincoln Plaza near the Oxford Valley Mall in the township, 5 miles away in Newtown Township, and about 4 miles away in Bensalem. Due to the other Middletown eatery’s high-traffic location and being near Sesame Place, its is not uncommon to see long lines at the business’ drive-thru lane in Middletown Township.
